The halls of Patch Elementary were filled with music, pride, and gratitude as students from Pre-K through fifth grade came together to honor the men and women who serve our nation. The entire student body participated in a Veterans Day musical performance that celebrated our current and former active-duty community members.

Under the direction of Ms. Janet Roos, our amazing music teacher, students sang and used American Sign Language (ASL) to perform a collection of songs honoring the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. From the youngest voices in Pre-K to the confident singers in fifth grade, each student played a special part in creating a powerful tribute to the military heroes in our Patch community.

Families and service members filled the audience, many moved by the heartfelt performances and the sense of unity that filled the room. As a DoDEA school, this annual celebration holds deep meaning by recognizing not only the sacrifices of those who serve, but also the strength and resilience of the military-connected students who call Patch Elementary home.

Thank you to Ms. Roos for her dedication, creativity, and passion for music education, and to our entire Patch community for making this Veterans Day performance a memorable celebration of service, sacrifice, and song.
