Family Glow Night Lights Up Learning for Patch Elementary Families

Kindergarten and first grade families at Patch Elementary School came together for Family Glow Night, an evening filled with glowing games, crafts, and hands-on learning that lit up the school with excitement and community spirit.
Held under blacklights, the event transformed classrooms and hallways into interactive spaces where students and their families explored educational stations designed to make learning fun and memorable. Activities ranged from glowing hopscotch in the movement room to a cozy blacklight reading nook where families could enjoy stories together.
A snack room featuring glow-themed treats added to the festive atmosphere, giving families a chance to relax and refuel. Teachers reported a strong turnout and high enthusiasm from both students and parents.
Many families expressed appreciation for the opportunity to be involved in their children’s education in such a creative and joyful setting.
Family Glow Night was made possible by a grant from the Patch Elementary PTA. Staff credited the event’s success to the dedication of teachers, volunteers, and the support of the school community.
