Patch ES was first opened in 1979 and currently provides instruction to about 470 students from pre-school child development through grade five. The school staff averages around 50 and includes two administrators, classroom teachers, specialists, and clerical and technical personnel. The stallion became the mascot of PES a few years after Stuttgart American High School closed (1992). A new modern 21st Century Alexander M.
